Remembrance in Fleet and Crookham

The Fleet, Crookham & District Branch of The Royal British Legion will lead the community’s Remembrance and commemoration of the Centenary of Armistice on Sunday 11th November 2018.

Remembrance Sunday & Centenary of the Armistice

11th November 2018

10.45am  Act of Remembrance and laying of wreaths at The War Memorial, Gally Hill Road, Church Crookham.  Followed by Service of Remembrance in Christ Church, Church Crookham.

11.00am  Two Minutes Silence at The War Memorial, Gurkha Square, Fleet.

2.30pm  Civic Service of Remembrance in The Harlington, Fleet, followed by Parade.

3.20pm  Parade with Band from Church Road Car Park to Gurkha Square, Fleet for an Act of Remembrance and laying of wreaths.  Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire and civic leaders will take the salute on Fleet Road before the Parade enters Gurkha Square.

Take part in the Centenary of the Armistice Parade

This Remembrance Sunday will mark the Centenary of the First World War Armistice.  To mark this poignant occasion we are asking as many, veterans, their families and Poppy collectors to join the Parade.  It is not a march, but a parade led by a band.  Please join us and encourage any serving, veterans and their families to parade on this special day.  Form-up in Church Road car park at 3.20pm ready to set-off at 3.30pm.

All are welcome to attend all services and ceremonies.
